BE THERE FOR YOU :)

BE THERE FOR YOU  I am no certified psychologist or therapist but still, I guess I have had enough situations in my life where you just have to stop obsessing over something and calm down. Here are my very personal tricks that I use to let go of any situation whether related to health, career, friendships, relationships etc. 1. ACCEPTANCE: It is what it is, you got to accept whatever the situation, the circumstances are. sometimes you just have to bow down to the problem and stop fighting for anything. Give up on the things which have started to consume you. 2. NO EXPECTATIONS: Just because you have put so much time, effort, and energy into something does not mean it will reciprocate the same. It is the harsh reality of this world, nobody is obliged to give you the same kind of efforts or returns. The soon you will give up on the expectations from others, soon your life will be happy and easy. You can’t expect from people who even lie to themselves. 3. PATIENCE IS THE KEY (sometime...

Things I want to tell my teenage self….

Things I want to tell my teenage self….

By: Shreya Sharma

(Hola everyone, this is just a quick write up  I felt like sharing with you all and I know that most of you will relate to it.)

Being a teenager is really tough, that flow of oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone would immediately turn the whole world upside down. Those years are a rollercoaster ride in itself. There were many things we as teenagers used to believe which does not make any sense now.  Like:

·       Sitting alone at lunch will not make you any less cool:

My best friend getting absent from school was my worst nightmare.

·       If you get low grades in your 12th  it DOES NOT MEAN you are a failure:

It is just a number, common you are 18 only.

·       Listening to sad songs just to make yourself sadder is not the key:

There is so much more to life than being sad and trying to make yourself sadder…

·       Take care of yourself:

Cherish yourself, no one is going to do that for you.

·       Keep your options open while deciding the carrer:

Just because most of your batch mates are going for it, does not mean you have to do it too.

·       You are beautiful:

An immature person making fun of you does not make you any less beautiful.

·       Don’t take things too seriously :

Stop finding meaning to everything people say. Most of them don’t even mean what they say.

·       Listen more:

Listening is the key to everything. Just listen to people, listen to your friends, people you don’t like, to your teachers. Grab information as much as you can.

·       Don’t worry about what people think:

Because they really are not thinking about you at all, they have many things to do.

·       Stop comparing yourself to others

·       Your worries are not as big as you think they are

·       Don’t get demotivated by people laughing at your dreams.

·       You are always a WORK IN PROGRESS.

·       Be open to change.

·       Having bad experiences, humiliation, making mistakes, rejections are a must. It will make you a better person.

·       Last but not least- your pimples are beautiful.
